The Data

We believe biblical data should be portable. Our goal is to provide foundational, openly-licensed data structures so you can build better study tools without being tied to a vendor or an API.

What's in the dataset

300,000+ cross-references derived from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (TSK), restructured so each translation carries its own anchor phrases mapped to its own text and versification — phrase-level precision, without making the reader mentally translate from the KJV.

The data ships as tab-separated (TSV) files covering KJV, BSB, Segond 21, and the Afrikaanse Ou Vertaling, with a simple Python parser included.

No API — by design

We don't host a central API for third-party apps. The data is yours to download and embed directly: your app keeps working even if our site goes down, and you can index and query it however you need.

License

The cross-reference data is released under CC BY 4.0 — use it freely, just credit the project. Translation texts remain under their own licenses; see the licensing page for details.
