Project Roadmap

Foundation
Phase 1: The Prototype Nov 2025 Complete
  • Import Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
Imported the original dataset (approx. 300,000 references and 64,000 anchor phrases) based on the King James Version.
  • Build Prototype Study Tool
Deployed initial version to validate user needs and data structure.
  • Build Public Website
This website you are reading now.
Phase 2: Architecture & Tools Dec 2025 Complete
  • Multi-Translation Support
Decoupled the reference data from the English KJV text to support additional translations.
  • Basic Mapping Tool
Built a simplified split-screen interface for anchoring references to modern translations.
Current & Ongoing

The Work: Mapping, Curating, Releasing

With the foundation in place, the project now has two ongoing streams of activity. Mapping anchors references to modern translations. Curation reviews each reference for quality. These run in parallel — different people can contribute to each independently. All work happens on live data, so you always see the latest improvements. As both streams reach completion for a given biblical book, we announce it as a finished resource.

Mapping
The original TSK references are tied to the King James Version. Mapping anchors each cross-reference to a modern translation so the connections work in the language people actually read.
  • French — Segond 21 (primary)
Pilot complete. Mapping continues book by book. See progress
  • English — Berean Standard Bible
    Running alongside the French work.
  • Additional translations
The architecture supports any translation. Further languages follow as contributors join.
Curation
The TSK contains references of uneven quality. Curation reviews every reference in a book — removing the weak, ranking the strong first, and ensuring each connection genuinely helps the reader see how Scripture interprets Scripture.
  • Remove weak references
Connections that are superficial, redundant, or unhelpful.
  • Rank and order references
    Strongest, most illuminating connections first.
  • Validate translation-dependent references
Ensuring connections that depend on KJV wording still hold in modern translations.
  • Fill gaps
Adding significant connections missing from the original TSK.
Completed Books

As mapping and curation both reach completion for a biblical book, we announce it as a finished resource. Mapping completion is already a big win, but we aim for more with curation.

As completed books accumulate, the curated data will also be released publicly for others to build on.

On the Horizon

As the curated dataset grows, further enrichment becomes possible: classifying connections by type (direct quotations, allusions, thematic parallels, typological links), and making the data available in additional formats beyond the study tool.

How You Can Help

This is a volunteer-driven initiative. There are several ways to contribute:

  • Mappers: Anchor cross-references to modern translations using our mapping tool.
  • Curators: Review references for quality — remove the weak, confirm the strong, suggest what's missing.
  • Developers: Help refine the mapping and curation tools.
