We believe biblical data should be portable. Our goal is to provide the foundational data structures that allow you to build better study tools without being tied to a specific vendor or API.

What We Are Building

Translation-Agnostic Cross-Reference Data

  • 300,000+ biblical connections derived from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
  • Restructured to work with any Bible translation (KJV, BSB, S21, etc.)
  • Moving beyond verse-matching to phrase-level anchoring

  • CC BY-SA 4.0
  • Use freely in commercial or non-commercial projects
  • Just credit the project and share improvements back

Accessing the Data

Status: Internal Development and external validation
We are currently finalizing the data schema and preparing the pilot dataset for the Segond 21 (French). Public datasets will be released upon completion of the first complete set for a given target language.

Distribution Strategy: Bulk Downloads

We do not plan to host a central API for third-party applications. Instead, we will provide bulk data downloads (likely in SQL and JSON formats).

This ensures you have:

  • Zero Latency: The data lives in your application or database.
  • Zero Reliance: Your app continues to work even if our website goes down.
  • Full Control: You can index and query the data exactly how your application needs.

Contributing

The repository is currently private while we iterate on the core architecture. We plan to open-source the tools and the dataset once the schema has stabilized.
