The wicked man earns an empty wage, but he who sows righteousness reaps a true reward. ... He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like foliage. ... The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Then justice will inhabit the wilderness, and righteousness will dwell in the fertile field. The work of righteousness will be peace; the service of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.
Sow for yourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of loving devotion; break up your unplowed ground. For it is time to seek the LORD until He comes and sends righteousness upon you like rain.
No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it.
